HOW TO ORDER YOUR WEDDING CAKE

CONGRATULATIONS!

If you have decided on your Wedding date then  please get in touch with us via the wedding cake contact form or give me a call so that I can check for availability. In order to make sure that your cake is as perfect as it can be, I only take on a limited number of wedding cake commissions per year, so I recommend reserving your date as soon as possible.

ESTIMATING YOUR CAKE COSTS

Once  availability has been confirmed I can provide an initial estimated quotation based on your cake size, preferred finish (buttercream, fondant or ganache), potential decoration and delivery address. Our wedding cake price guide gives an indication of cake prices for a variety of sizes. I can advise you on the size of cake based on how many guests you have.

CHOOSING YOUR FLAVOURS

If you are interesting in working with me I will arrange a cake tasting box to be sent out to you. This contains four flavours of your choosing and costs £35. This cost will be deducted from your deposit (50% of cake cost) should you decide to go ahead with your cake. The tasting boxes are carefully packaged and sent out to you via royal mail. Before you decide on your flavours I can guide you through the process and help you choose the flavours that will best reflect your special day.

THE WEDDING CAKE DESIGN PROCESS

My design style is organic, fluid and natural as I take my inspiration from nature. This is not only reflected in the decorative details but also in the ingredients that I use.

At this point I consult with you via email and phone so that I can get a clear design brief from you. I take into account all the important details you have chosen for your wedding such as the style of your venue, your colour schemes, floral choices and any other design details you would like me to include in your cake. I am committed to your cake being exquisite and delicious so I am happy to consult and advise on options for the styling and display of your wedding cake at your venue, which I can execute if required on delivery.

FINALISING YOUR WEDDING CAKE ORDER

Once we decided on your cake style, design and decorative details, I will provide you with a final quotation.  When you are happy to proceed I will complete your order form and send you a copy along with terms and conditions of sale to be signed by you. At this point your invoice will be forwarded detailing total cost and non-refundable deposit amount (50% of cake cost). Payment is accepted by bank transfer. Once this payment is received by me your order and wedding date are now booked. The balance of your order becomes due 28 days prior to your wedding day.

ON THE DAY

Due to the delicate nature of some of our wedding cakes, many couples choose a full delivery and set-up service at their venue. I will liaise with your wedding coordinator directly to arrange this in the lead up to your wedding day. You may also collect your cake from our premises in Hampshire however depending on the design of the cake this is not always possible or advisable as I may have to detail and assemble on site.
