I am absolutely passionate about flavour and texture in every cake. Flavour is just as important as design and I make sure that you have a cake you are proud to share with your guests. Each of my flavours is made from scratch and I don’t use any artificial flavours in my cakes, fillings or syrups.
All my ingredients are locally sourced, seasonal, organic where possible and of the very highest quality to ensure that your cake is absolutely delicious. I believe that simplicity is key to a decadent, timeless and memorable cake so I let my ingredients speak for themselves.
Flavours include but are not limited to:
Lemon Cake – This is a cross between your grandmothers best lemon cake and something more indulgent, with lip smacking, zingy Sicilian lemon curd and a light, bright, lemon buttercream.
All American White Velvet Vanilla Cake – This is a very light, pale sponge with pure vanilla bean throughout and a light, pure vanilla buttercream.
White Chocolate and Raspberry Cake – This cake is made with fresh raspberry jam and white chocolate buttercream. The fruit can be varied to strawberry, blackberry or blueberry, gooseberry etc depending on the season.
Lemon and Blueberry Cake – This is a simple, light textured, deeply flavourful and comforting cake with a simple buttercream of your choosing.
Classic “Death by Chocolate” Cake! – This is a soft, deeply indulgent chocolate cake with a chocolate buttercream that you can’t get enough of! Not too sweet and is very adaptable to the addition of orange (the winter version of this goes extremely well when dosed with cherry brandy)!
Lime and Coconut Cake – This light and fluffy coconut sponge is extremely moreish with coconut and lime buttercream.
Key Lime Pie Cake – This is the even limier version of the coconut and lime cake. This light and fluffy sponge is laced with lime zest and a seriously zingy lime curd takes pride of place between each layer of buttercream!
Pomelo and Lime Cake – This beautiful cake has the sweet yet sharp pomelo flavour in the sponge with zingy citrus buttercream. Goes very well with Champagne!
Pink Champagne Cake – You can’t go wrong with this classic and simple flavour paired with your favourite buttercream
Sticky Toffee Cake with Salted Caramel – A classic winter wedding cake that can have either a brandy or plain buttercream depending on how warming you would like your cake to be!
Chocolate and Guinness Cake with Brandy Buttercream – This simple, rich cake will warm your guests in the winter!
I have spent countless hours refining my flavours and recipes so that my cakes are moist, absolutely delicious and distinctive.
When choosing your flavours it is important to think of what you would like as well as what your guests would like. It is easy to get caught up in overthinking what everyone else would prefer. Remember it is also your day so choose something personal as well.
I offer a tasting box for £35 which can include 4 flavours of your choosing. Should you wish to work with me after purchasing one of the sample boxes then this will be deducted from the overall cost of the cake. See below for more detials.
